Ken Byrne, Your Mortgage Professional “The
one thing you need to know before you make a final decision on a
loan—or a lender, for that matter—is to know what you’re
getting into. Too many people just go for the lowest possible rate
without really knowing the type of loan that is associated with it.
Other times, people will only want to hear about loans with low rates
when a higher-rate loan with less of a down payment may be more
sensible. It’s very important that you look at all your options, do
your homework, and never be afraid to ask questions.” That’s the advice that Ken Byrne, Assistant Vice President of Residential Lending, gives to prospective customers. And it’s good advice from a man who knows his business. As a mortgage broker for First Savings Mortgage since March of 1994, Ken has processed over 1,400 new loans and refinances. In his 11 years in the mortgage broker field, Ken has helped close over 3,000 loans. That’s experience. Ken's dual specialties are creative financing and first-time homebuyers. His favorite part of the mortgage business is helping people to realize their dream of buying their first house. He even holds a monthly seminar for first-time homebuyers. With great service and continual follow-up, Ken is able to offer very competitive rates and outstanding programs for almost any situation. Ken is often asked what path led him into the mortgage business. “In college, I was interested in many different areas, but then I took a couple of mortgage and banking classes that were very interesting. I decided to major in economics and finance. After college, I didn’t really plan on getting into the sales side of the business, but I found that I really enjoyed that part of the mortgage business too. Someday I’d like to run my own branch, but I’m very happy where I am now.” Of
the hundreds of clients and business contacts, Ken counts many of them
as his friends. Born in |
